The ‘FC Barcelona Master in Football Business by Johan Cruyff Institute’ will be held on the facilities of the Catalan club with a program based entirely on football business with the club as a model, and will reflect Cruyff’s ‘Total Football’ vision
FC Barcelona and Johan Cruyff Institute have made public today a collaboration agreement that includes, among other joint initiatives, the creation and launch of a master's degree in football business within the FCB Universitas. The presentation act was attended by Josep Maria Bartomeu, president of FC Barcelona, Jordi Cruyff, board member of the Johan Cruyff Institute, and Jordi Monés, director of FC Barcelona and commissioner of FCB Universitas.
The ‘FC Barcelona Master in Football Business by Johan Cruyff Institute’ has been created with the ambition to be the only program in administration and business of football, based on the great educational experience of the Johan Cruyff Institute and the management model of FC Barcelona, recognized worldwide.
Students of this master will have the chance to learn all about the football industry through the prism of FC Barcelona, through visits, lectures, case studies and projects related to the history and daily life of the club. Classes will be held at the facilities of FC Barcelona and will include interventions by professionals from different management areas of the Catalan club.
The ‘FC Barcelona Master in Football Business by Johan Cruyff Institute’ will start in May 2017 and will last eight months. Initially, the course will be given in English in Barcelona, but later it will also be offered in Spanish and online, to respond to the international demand generated by both institutions.
Jordi Cruyff: "I believe honouring a legacy comes from celebrating the memories and improving the ideals of those who came before us.
